Pilgrim progress 41 string pedal harp. Dark mahogany gloss with an extended soundboard. Approx 28 years old. Serviced this year by Alex Tree and he noted the harp is “structurally in very good condition”. This harp has been well looked after. It has been an ideal student/starter harp and with its compact size it would also be ideal to cart around for gigging/performing. It comes with travel covers and dust cover. Erard 6688 Spiral Gothic

The harp is an Erard Gothic no 6688. It was built in 1897 for a Miss Purcell of Kensington. I have had the harp since 1971 and it is greatly loved. Munson and Harbour put a metal brace inside the base of the soundboard soon after purchase. Michael Parfett did a great deal of refurbishment in 2016. He removed and straightened the column, strengthened the pedal box, improved the regulation and re strung the harp in a lighter gauge.
