Hello Everyone!

We're Penny Johnson and Matt Mason, and together we are Pilgrim Harps Limited.

Between us, we have over 18 years of experience in the harp world, and we are incredibly proud to have been part of the original Pilgrim Harps, one of England's most prestigious harp makers.

Pilgrim Harps was founded in 1980 by Penny's father, Peter Cunningham, alongside John Hoare, Peter Rovery, and Jerry Blumire. Over the next 46 years, they built a reputation for exceptional British craftsmanship, becoming the UK's largest manufacturer of lever harps and the country's only pedal harp maker. Their instruments are renowned for their quality, and many of the very first harps they built are still being played and enjoyed today.

When the difficult decision was made to stop manufacturing, we knew we couldn't let the Pilgrim name and everything it stood for disappear. We wanted to continue supporting the wonderful community of harpists who have trusted Pilgrim for so many years.

John spent several years passing on his extensive knowledge to Matt, training him in pedal harp mechanisms, servicing, regulation and repairs. Combined with our continuing harp hire service, premium harp strings, and Penny's passion for customer care, we are committed to keeping the Pilgrim legacy alive.

Although we are no longer manufacturing new harps, we are dedicated to ensuring that existing Pilgrim instruments continue to be cared for, maintained and enjoyed for generations to come. Whether you're hiring your first harp, looking for quality strings, or booking your instrument in for a service, you can be confident you'll receive the same friendly, knowledgeable and personal service that Pilgrim has always been known for.

We believe in honesty, quality workmanship and treating every customer as part of the Pilgrim family. Our work ethic is built on traditional values, exceptional service and a genuine love for what we do.

Thank you for joining us on this new chapter. We look forward to continuing the Pilgrim legacy and supporting harpists for many years to come.
