Servicing

  • A general service for a lever harp usually consists of checking/greasing all the levers and strings and a general check over of the instrument, full intonation check which consists of adjusting each lever individually to play the exact semi-tone when engaging the string with a quick wax or polish to finish up.

    A lever service typically consists of approximately 3 hours of work and can usually be done the same day

  • A general service for pedal harps usually consists of regulation of the pedals where the length of the rods is changed combined with the pedal bindings to set the disc movement on the mechanism so that it stops and starts in the right places.

    The intonation of the discs is when following that pedal movement the disc shortens/ tensions the string in just the right place to change it by exactly a semi-tone

    A pedal service typically takes between 3-5 hours and if started early enough can be usually finished the same day

  • To cover any additional work that is not covered under a normal service we will typically charge for the parts plus a hourly Rate at £70
