Fran Barsby is a British harpist known for her passion and innovation. Beginning the harp 17 years ago, Fran has played at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, St Johns Smith Square, Birmingham Town Hall, Chichester festival theatre and more. Her solo and ensemble career with groups such as the International Harp Ensemble, Dionysos (cello and harp duet), and various orchestras has taken her around the breadth of Europe. Fran graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2015. In September 2015 Fran achieved her lifelong harp goal and began working for Pilgrim Harps as their resident harpist and online marketing co-ordinator. Not only does Fran have a very busy performing career but she also has a passion for teaching. Fran is the harp teacher at the Blue Coat School, Warwick Prep School and Kings High School for Girls as well as teaching privately. Fran is also devoted to helping young professionals find their feet in the music industry. She is director of PoppyHarp publishing, a company dedicated to helping composers and harpists publish their music as well as creating innovative resources for music teachers and students. April 2015 brought the release of a new set of 13 Harp tuition books for students of all ages, parental help guides and advise for teachers. Fran is also the director of the Future Blend Project, a charitable competition organised to help young musicians find their first steps in their careers. After over 23 years as a Professional Harpist Claire has a wealth of experience providing beautiful live Harp music. She realises every event is special and unique and has over a thousand delighted customers.
Claire is highly regarded for the exceptionally beautiful sound she is able to create on the Harp and the emotion with which she plays. Claire read music at Royal Holloway University of London, majoring in Harp and graduating with BMus Hons. Whilst there she studied Harp under Charlotte Seale, Professor of Harp at the Guildhall School of Music. She continued her studies and achieved her ABRSM Diploma in Harp Performance. Now based in Bristol, Claire is in great demand and plays regularly for weddings, business and private events throughout Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Wiltshire, Somerset. South Wales and the South-West. Claire has a wide repertoire of Classical and Pop including songs by Adele, Beyoncé, Bublé, Carpenters, Coldplay, Jason Derulo, Elvis, Ellie Goulding, Elton John, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Pachelbel, Wagner and many more! Claire is also an experienced harp teacher able to adapt her style to different types of pupils. She enjoys teaching the harp to pupils of all ages and abilities, both privately and at Badminton Girls’ School in Bristol.

Audrey Douglas |
Audrey Douglas studied at the Royal College of Music and following her studies was harpist with the BBC Northern Ireland and subsequently the Ulster Orchestra.
Audrey has lived and worked in the Midlands for many years, having playing with several major orchestras and worked on numerous productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Audrey has over 20 years experience as a specialist wedding harpist. She is familiar with most venues throughout the Midlands and is recommended by many of them. Audrey has a vast repertoire which is constantly updated and will always try to accommodate any particular musical requests.

I am a freelance harpist based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. I play the harp at weddings, corporate events, with orchestras & other music groups. I am also an experienced and sympathetic harp teacher who gives harp lessons from my home in Cheltenham. I play both classical and traditional music on the Concert and Celtic Harp. I was born in Abergavenny and began studying music in school, gaining Grade 8 with Distinction in both Harp and Piano. I studied the harp at Bristol University where I completed a BA (hons) in Music. I further developed my performing abilities by completing a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Harp Performance at the Royal Welsh College College of Music and Drama (Cardiff.)

Graduating with a Masters degree from The Royal Northern College of Music in 2018, under the tuition of Eira Lynn Jones, Becki regularly works alongside composers to develop new music for the harp. This has led to experiences such as: performing in the Wigmore Hall, premiering Amir Konjani’sAnima Projection and joining the Future Blend Project in creating and performing a new works concert for the instrument.
Becki has worked extensively with the composer Paul Patterson, giving the European premiere of his piece Scorpions for two harps, and showcasing his harp solo Lizards’ as part of the 13th World Harp Congress in Hong Kong. In November 2019 she joined EUYWO with conductor Yan Cober to perform and tour Stravinsky's Petrushka, as well as two new works. In January 2021 Becki was awarded the Help Musicians' 'Do it differently' Fund as part of the award-winning Chroma Harp duo, which will enable a new commission to be written and recorded for the ensemble. Available for recording work, recitals, weddings ceremonies and private tuition; Becki’s creativity shines through her performances and teaching. She has a passion for outreach, and has performed as part of Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now scheme since 2019, through which she facilitates music workshops and performances for care home residents and SEND schools across the UK.

I am a freelance harp and trumpet player living in Cornwall and working across the south of England. I offer a friendly, professional service providing instrumental music for a wide range of private and corporate events.
Music is my passion. I have been playing the harp and the trumpet for over twenty years, during which time I have amassed a wealth of experience and gained an extensive repertoire of solo, chamber and orchestral works. Most recently I have studied the harp with the internationally renowned harpists Gabriella Dall'Olio, Head of Harp Studies at Trinity College of Music and Catherine White, Professor of Harp at the Royal Academy of Music and the natural trumpet with John Hutchins of the Royal Academy of Music. In 2009 I graduated from Cambridge University with a Masters degree.

Charlotte is a local harpist, who began learning the harp at the age of 10, and the following year was awarded a major music scholarship to Badminton School, Bristol. By the time she commenced the BMus course at Goldsmiths College, she had gained Grade 8 on the harp, flute, piano and saxophone. She also regularly competed in and won many Music Festivals and Eisteddfods in both Wales and England.
During her studies for her Postgraduate Diploma in Performance under Valerie Aldrich-Smith at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, she was awarded a 3 month exchange scholarship at Turin Conservatoire under the guidance of Gabriella Bosio. Since finishing her Diploma she has been teaching in both Gwent and Hereford and regularly performs as a soloist as well as with numerous orchestras, which have included the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and in the Last Night of the Proms. Charlotte has also brought out 2 solo harp albums called ‘Strings Over Time’ and ‘Strings of Change’ as well as a harp and voice album called ‘There is My Love’ with Marianne Lihannah.

I started to play the harp at the age of 12 at the Conservatoire de Besancon, France with Madame Adloff and finished my studies after 8 years. I have been playing since in the UK, many residencies in Bath, Bristol and the South West. I enjoy playing for weddings and private functions and if possible happy to play request and make my own arrangements of modern songs.

Susan Sherratt has gained a widespread reputation as an experienced and versatile harpist performing in concerts both as a soloist and in orchestras throughout the UK. She also performs regularly at weddings, social events and at hotels and enjoys teaching the harp to pupils of all ages and abilities.
Susan began her career as a clarinettist and recorder player and studied in London at the Royal College of Music, Trinity College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. However, she had always longed to play the harp and eventually took it up at the tender age of 36! She has studied with Ruth Faber and Catherine White and has taken part in masterclasses with Imogen Barford, Charlotte Seale and Karen Vaughan (LSO). Susan lives in North Devon and has taught at Exeter University, Dartington College of Arts, Dauntsey’s School , West Buckland School , Taunton School and Blundell’s School
