How do I know if my harp needs servicing?

A service checks your harp and fixes any small problems that may have developed over time. Just like a car, a harp needs a regular service in order to help prevent problems and keep it working at its best. For professional harpists playing constantly, we recommend a service once a year; for students, perhaps once every other year. Lever-harps need checking less regularly but it is good practice to get it looked over every five years or so. Servicing regularly can save you money in the long term.

Where do I get my harp serviced?

If your harp needs servicing or repair, please get in touch on      01342 893242.
Where we can book you in.

TOP TIP: Keep a record of any buzzes, stiff pedals, stiff or noisy levers, slipping pegs, strings that snap and anything out of the ordinary. When your harp is serviced, our technicians can make sure we fix everything you have noticed over time that may not otherwise show up on a service.

Restoration and Repair

Restoration and repair is a vital part of our work.
From a small accident to a major repair, we can restore your instrument back to full playing condition.
Although our designs are forever pushing forward the sound capabilities of the harp, we are always appreciative of the designs, styles and sounds of the past. These beautiful instruments are worth restoring.

We are highly experienced in restoration and repair of the older instruments and able to advise you as to the best course of action.
Some of our work is to repair old harps for enthusiasts who like the delicate and mellow resonance of older instruments - this may be a 150 year old Grecian Erard or a 70 year old Lyon and Healy.
We have the experience and enthusiasm to undertake this work from the basics to a full restoration and
re-gilding of a harp back to its former glory.
