Ruth plays the harp in the orchestra of Phantom Of The Opera in London's West End. She regularly takes time out to perform with London orchestras and other theatre productions. She enjoys playing for weddings and functions in the Herts/Cambs area and continues to teach from home when required.

I am a freelance harpist based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. I play the harp at weddings, corporate events, with orchestras & other music groups. I am also an experienced and sympathetic harp teacher who gives harp lessons from my home in Cheltenham. I play both classical and traditional music on the Concert and Celtic Harp. I was born in Abergavenny and began studying music in school, gaining Grade 8 with Distinction in both Harp and Piano. I studied the harp at Bristol University where I completed a BA (hons) in Music. I further developed my performing abilities by completing a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Harp Performance at the Royal Welsh College College of Music and Drama (Cardiff.)

Graduating with a Masters degree from The Royal Northern College of Music in 2018, under the tuition of Eira Lynn Jones, Becki regularly works alongside composers to develop new music for the harp. This has led to experiences such as: performing in the Wigmore Hall, premiering Amir Konjani’sAnima Projection and joining the Future Blend Project in creating and performing a new works concert for the instrument.
Becki has worked extensively with the composer Paul Patterson, giving the European premiere of his piece Scorpions for two harps, and showcasing his harp solo Lizards’ as part of the 13th World Harp Congress in Hong Kong. In November 2019 she joined EUYWO with conductor Yan Cober to perform and tour Stravinsky's Petrushka, as well as two new works. In January 2021 Becki was awarded the Help Musicians' 'Do it differently' Fund as part of the award-winning Chroma Harp duo, which will enable a new commission to be written and recorded for the ensemble. Available for recording work, recitals, weddings ceremonies and private tuition; Becki’s creativity shines through her performances and teaching. She has a passion for outreach, and has performed as part of Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now scheme since 2019, through which she facilitates music workshops and performances for care home residents and SEND schools across the UK.

Nicola VealKT17 |
Nicola is a harpist based in Surrey, but who performs across the South East of England. She began piano lessons at the age of four, later taking up the flute and after achieving grade eight examinations on both of these she started to play the harp. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Music (majoring in Harp Performance) and since then has achieved the Licentiate of Trinity College London with Distinction for Harp Performance. Nicola is now a free-lance harpist, playing at numerous functions and concerts throughout the year whilst enjoying a busy teaching schedule.
Nicola currently spends the majority of her time working in the luxury wedding industry. In 2013 she was chosen as one of ‘Britains’ 10 Best Harpists’ by Bride Magazine, which helped to launch her career and now travels around a wide area to some of the country’s most prestigious venues to provide romantic music for wedding ceremonies and receptions. She specialises in working closely with couples to perform their precise music choices for their special day by arranging their music choices specially for the harp. This means that she is known for her wide-ranging repertoire and alongside her professional approach to her work, she is recommended by numerous venues and wedding professionals across the South East of England.

Rachel Wick is a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Oxford and the Royal Academy of Music. As an orchestral player she has performed with many of the UKs leading ensembles, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, English Session Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, as well as with orchestras further afield including the European Union Youth Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of India and Norwegian Opera. She has recorded with New College and Christ Church Cathedral Choirs, Oxford and has broadcast live on Classic FM with Her Majesty’s Choir of the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, and appears on Howard Goodall’s album Inspired.
Alongside a large private teaching practice, Rachel teaches harp at Berkhamsted School and the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music, and coaches for the National Children’s Orchestra. She regularly gives kids' concerts, including for ‘Bach to Baby’ and 'Concertini', and with her flute duo partner, Thomas Hancox, she works for the charities ‘Live Music Now’ and CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust giving outreach concerts. She appears miming in an orchestra for the latest Mission Impossible film, and was filmed for Google’s ‘Inside Abbey Road’ virtual online tour.
